Responsibility
We act with great responsibility when designing and producing products.
Consumption has a great impact on our climate challenges, and Voksi has chosen to never compromise on design quality or do shortcuts in production. Our hope is that the time and effort we put into our products will help you enjoy them for a really long time. We believe in a future where we buy less, but buy better.
MATERIAL CHOICE
When designing a product we consider the different properties of the materials. In our development we strive for improvements and alternatives to reduce our carbon footprint. To set goals for this we have started to measure each raw materials that goes into our products. By this we learn a lot about which of our actions will be most effectful for the environment.
COOPERATION
For more than 10 years we have worked with the same suppliers in production. By keeping a close and respectful cooperation, we share common goals of improvements. We ensure that our suppliers commit to international conventions for animal and human rights, according to our code of conduct agreement. According to a new Norwegian law (Transparency Act/Åpenhetsloven 2022) we currently upgrade our responsibilities for suppliers.
MAKE THE PRODUCT LAST
In order to meet the future goals related to sustainability, we want to encourage good maintenance of the products. Our sleeping bags come with a repair patch to make it easy to make small repairs so the product can last longer. Our sales packaging has been changed from plastic to cotton so it can be used as a storage bag for periods when the product is not in use, or for other purposes.
STEPS WE ARE TAKING
Some of the improvements implemented have been to reduce the number of shipments by optimizing carton sizes. In our packaging today, we only use a single bag made of recycled plastic. The plastic tape has been replaced by paper tape, and moisture-absorbing silica bags have been replaced by clay bags. Our choice of shipping partners are made taking into account that they have a future plan for carbon neutrality. During 2023, we will replace plastic with more sustainable packaging in shipments from the online store. All our reductions in packaging have been thoroughly measured and reported to European authorities.
CHECK, AND CHECK AGAIN
Our materials are controlled by the authorities and certified with STANDARD 100 Oeko-Tex class 1. In addition, we voluntary performs blind testing of our production every year. These tests are extremely important for us to be the most trustful actor on the market with baby products. Your children's safety is our non-negotiable first priority.
